Question about Optoma ProView PI-700 (PI700)

Open Question

Is this the same technology as the Optoma PI500? My pen is broken I need a replacement!

So my pen broke on my Optoma PI500. It is a wireless battery (aaa) operated pen. I use it to write and draw on the screen. I can't seem to get a hold of a replacement from the Optoma comapny as the product is discontinued. Is there any other company that makes a pen I could use as a replacement? I don't know much about the technology only that my pen is battery operated and it looks a lot like a Aiptek Hyperpen. Aiptek is listed on the back of the monitor and their hyperpens look the same, but is it the same technology? I called them and their techi in California had no clue... Thanks, SJD

I need to replace the F6M 1.2 rechargeable batteries in my CPen 800C. Do you have them in stock and are you in a position to supply them. I am prepared to pay the charge only if you can supply them.

I have just replaced the battery on my C-Pen 800c with one from ESP Special Batteries. They did not have a suitable plug, so I had to remove the wires from the old battery and solder to the new. http://www.espspecialbatteries.co.uk/battery/ESP-1-69-125A This cost 9 pounds 80 including postage.

Has the manufacturer's warranty expired? If not, exercise the warranty, to get it replaced.

C-PEN dead battery

If the charger is connected to C-Pen and the recharging
process does not start, follow these instructions.
1. Disconnect the charger from your C-Pen.
2. Insert something thin (like an unfolded paperclip) into
the reset hole and press gently.
3. Reconnect the charger to C-Pen.
4. C-Pen should begin recharging the battery within 10
seconds. If recharging does not start (the battery power
level icon is not moving in the status field) please
repeat steps 1-3 above. Remember to make sure that
the charger is not connected to C-Pen while pressing
the reset button.
There is no way to access the battery since it is built in. To replace it you would have to open it up, if you would like to attempt this the battery type is Rechargeable, NiMH.

The small skinny part in the front broke off

Sorry to say, but it is broken.  In theory, one might be able to solder it back, most of these are surface mount technology, meaning, probably not.  You can try, but I doubt anyone will take it back...  Sorry.  That's the downside to the USB wireless adapters.
