Dishwasher not used for ten weeks since then it seems to fill and empty, but not cleaning dishes properly.
When it is filling the water is coming from the spinning arms but they are not spinning. The water pressure seems to be high enough as water without arms on will reach roof of unit. There is a unit on inlet of water supply could this cause problem?

If you
are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to
check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try
replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check
for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and
the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to
the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.
If it
seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if
dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check
whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after
the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water
temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be
between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes.

ok so If your dishwasher has worked fine in the past but, suddenly, your
dishes aren't clean after the dishwasher completes all cycles: 1) Check your water heater's temperature dial to
be sure it hasn't been changed recently. 2) Be sure dishes haven't prevented the detergent
dispenser from opening properly during the wash cycles or kept the spray arms
from turning, the lower arm from rising, or the spray from reaching the upper
rack's dishes. 3) During the wash cycle, listen to the spray arm
spinning inside. If it seems to be spinning poorly, clean out the spray holes
in the spray arm(s) with a stiff piece of wire; wait for the machine to cool,
and then remove the spray arm(s) by unscrewing the hub cap and lifting the
arm(s) off RegardsGizokieth
If the spray arms are not being blocked by a dish or a piece of flatware then you may have a valve that is not letting enough water through to get the job done. water condition may clog the valve and energy efficiency mandates using less water so some valves are made with smaller holes today. A little knowledge that may be helpful when seeking a solution to your problem. Good luck.
Check the water temperature. Should be 125 to 140 F.
Check pump re-circulation., Listen, see if it sounds like it is spraying the water around with enough pressure.
Check water level when the fill cycle has completed. Should be just under the heating element. If not, possibly need to replace the water inlet valve.
Check the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks.
Check to make sure dishwasher is draining after each cycle. There should only be a little water in the bottom of the tub.
Make sure the dishes are loaded properly, or dishwasher is not overloaded.
Possibly try a different detergent. Some liquid-gels will bubble and a pump cannot pump bubbles.
Scrape away large pieces of food, bones, pits, toothpicks, etc. Burned on food should be loosened before loading. Empty liquids from glasses and cups. Foods such as mustard, mayonnaise, vinegar, lemon juice and tomato products may cause discoloration of stainless steel and plastics if allowed to sit for a long period of time. Unless the dishwasher is to be operated at once, it is best to rinse off these food soils. Load racks so that large items do not prevent the detergent dispenser from opening. If the dishwasher drains into a food disposer, be sure disposer is completely empty before starting the dishwasher. just click on the above questions for more help the answer will come to the screen
