Can you please help me? I have a Nitendo ds lite which will not boot-up. I get the green light on the right on but both screens are blank. Is there a way to re-boot or reset the console back to the factory setting. Or is my console dead?
I had a similar problem, only the bottom screen would flash on and off, then remain dead. It worked only a few seconds prior the the issue, and after charging it does the same thing :(I had a similar problem, only the bottom screen would flash on and off, then remain dead. You are going to have to send it so that they can reset your system. Also, it could be that it is working but there is a short to your LCD screen. look around at some companies that fix gameing equipment. I went to www.cherryfusion.com and they fixed my sons DS. he had dropped it and the top screen would not come out. they had to change out the LCD screen.

If your booting to a GBA game, there us a setting in the machine BIOS to tells it to use the top or bottom screen. You can access it by taking out the games and booting the unit.
If your booting a DS game, it should display on both. If not, it is possible a wire has come loose on the display (or the screen went bad).
You can try and check for the wire yourself or take it to a repair shop. If you bought it recently call Nintendo.
Well one things for sure if you dont play with it the ds wouldnt just refuse to play, have u dropped it on has any water been splashed on it? If you have then thats what has caused the problem so go and get it fixed, if you havnt got any water on it or dropped it then your DS must be broken im sure you can get it fixed, if not get a new one.
1.Blow into end of DS charger...
2.Dip end into salt.*DO NOT STIR IT AROUND...dip in and pull out*
3.tap end onto a hard surface LIGHTLY untill excess salt is out/off of tip...
4.Blow into end/tip of charger again...
5.Plug in your charger...
***WHEN PERFORMING THE STEPS ABOVE MAKE SURE CHARGER IS PLUGGED-IN TO OUTLET***
The freezing whils using an R4 card can be caused by allowing the reset function to be turned on (it's on the top right corner of the botttom screen (green is on and red is off (red shouldn't lock up, green is reset on and may lock up)))
