You never said what model is your phone but the general practise is to pair the headset to the phone.how??
Make sure the headset is fully charged ,normally showing blue light depending on the brand.
1>While the phone is on ,press a button on the headset and it(headset)should show a blue light depending on the brand.
2>keep this button pressed and go to your phone's bluetooth configs and select a 'add audio divice' tab.The phone will search for for any headset in the vicinity till it finds yours.
3>Select your headset name shown on the phone and you could be required to enter password to pair,in this case most will be (0000)or (1234).
Sorry had to be this long!!!!

Do you have the Voyager base station? That should be able to plug into the phone via the curly cords. The headset then syncs up with the Voyager base station.
When you turn the bluetooth on, just hold the call control button until the light flashes red and blue, which means it's in discovery mode. In the 120 seconds that it is in this mode, search for the device on your phone, and it should show up for you to connect.
You need to make sure your wireless function is turned on, on your phone. Look under settings and tools go to add new device. You also need to place your headset in discovery mode. read the directions that came with the headset it will tell you how to do that.
Hold the up volume and the talk button (the one on the side of the ear piece) down until the status light flashes red then blue. This places the headsead into pairing mode.
I was given this bluetooth after a buddy of mine could'nt figure it out. I figured out how to sync it by following that longer than 5 secs. idea that's posted here. I did'nt have a manual so I just put in "0000" and it worked! So try that...Good Luck. Thanx4Hating
It appears your phone might not be syncing up with the headset since there might not be any signal at all. Do you have some one else's head set you might be able to borrow in order to test this possible problem? Maybe even stop by a mall phone booth to see if the blue tooth head set they have there for demo will sync up with your phone [besides you can always walk away after you test that and not buy anything just dont tell them before hand..].
See if this helps figure out the problem. It's one of the ways to test the problem and find a solution.
Let me know how it goes!
p.s. sorry it has taken so long for some one to get back to you. Let us know if you found a solution to this problem already in the mean time!
