I have an olympus stylus 700 all-weather digital camera. recently while taking it out on a photo shoot, the screen turned blue and a D: 5f 08
appeared on the screen. At first I thought the battery was dead so I charged it today, and I was able to import images but everytime I turn it on, the same blue screen with the numbers and letters appears.
It also makes a whirring noise and the lense opens and closes.
I really don't know what to do. If the 30 day return expires and I still have the receipt, am I still allowed to return it?

The problem you are describing is a problem with a sensor inside the lens assembly of the camera. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.
Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $86 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.
thos pictures are lost... u ken fix the problem by format...menu- setup- format...they are problems with the pictures because the camera was shaken allot...dont worry this will do it... or u ken get a card reader to get thos photos back, but the format is required
