I have an olympus stylus 700 all-weather digital camera. recently while taking it out on a photo shoot, the screen turned blue and a D: 5f 08 5e 02 appeared on the screen. At first I thought the battery was dead so I charged it today, and I was able to import images but everytime I turn it on, the same blue screen with the numbers and letters appears. It also makes a whirring noise and the lense opens and closes. I really don't know what to do. If the 30 day return expires and I still have the receipt, am I still allowed to return it? thanks!
This is a problem with the lens block assy and is a serious problem.Best advise is to return it and change it for a new one.Did it get a knock??

Return it anyway if you have proof of purchase. Definately a dud camera to fail this early

I need assistance to this matter and I hope that this will arrive to whoever is responsible.
Thank you so much Olmpus!
I have exactly the same problem. I have used this camera for two years. Can I return it?
