I am trying to set sn Acer X203H monitor to 6500k or sRGB. I can't find a setting to use the Kelvin Scale or a setting for sRGB. I have been using the menu button on the monitor. Am I going about this wrong. This is my first attempt to set this monitor with Canon Digital Professional. I have everything set in the canon software. I just cant figure out how to set the monitor.
SOURCE: can't change resolution on an acer x203h video
The resolution is changed on the PC and not the monitor. Right click on the desktop and select Properties->Settings->Screen Resolution. Here you will get a slider showing Minimum to Maximum resolution that your monitor is capable of taking. Start sliding the indicator one notch at a time and click OK when satisfied. You will be given an opportunity to revert back to the original one should you want to. Go ahead and change to a more likeable one.

Make sure to use the native resolution of your screen in your video settings (desktop-properties-), I believe it is 1600 x 900. Then it should look ok.

I see from the Acer web site what you are saying is true.....you might try just setting it up as plug and play monitor. Your current operating system should be able to assign a generic driver so it will function....just a thought.

You need to set the PC video resolution to 1600 x 900 for proper 16:9 wide screen format. But if your pictures that you taken with your camera were not 16:9, IE 4 X 5 then it will be stretched side way to fill the screen.

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed ACER monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.
