Check BOTH of your power connections and your ground too. Make sure you actually have 12v at each connection and don't have a blown fuse etc. If you are lucky then you will solve the problem. Good luck.

I just got the aiwa cdc-x227 and the mute is on.how do you unmute it?

check for a logo that shows a speaker with a cross(X) across. just switch this back. this is also available on the remote. You could normally find this on the top side so as to mute easily when in a traffic junction. Check if this button is jammed. Also check if the display shows a mute , if not the sound reduction could be a different issue related to the audio output. check if any speaker connections are short, or speakers connections touching the body. Chek on the wiring once again with a multimeter , for any shorting, correct positve voltage and good ground. hope this helps. Good day

Get a E03 error on display when playing CDs

It is not reading the cd. The laser is dirty, out of alignment, or bad. If it is under warranty, contact Aiwa. If it is not, you should just replace it. Just to take the lid off, and find out what is wrong will cost you about $80 at most repair shops. For $120 you can buy a new am fm cd with Ipod control and USB port. Hope this helps.

Aiwa CDC-X227 - No power to unit

Keep in mind that there are always two fuses in any vehicle that provide power to the radio. One fuse is for switched power, one for constant power. Both fuses need to be good before the radio will work. Often one of the fuses, especially the constant power fuse, is shared with other electrical circuits and may not be labeled as a radio fuse. Check all the fuses in the vehicle, including any fuse box under the hood. See if any other electrical systems in the car aren't working, especially the dome light, cigarette lighter, door chime buzzer, or clock.

AIWA CDC-x227 CDPlayer

GO to WallMart, Kmart, Radio Shack, etc. and get a new connector adapter (plug)...they're reasonably priced, have them for all make/models of cars, and make installing a car stereo a breeze! When you get the one for your specific car, the wiring instructions are quite easy to follow! :-)
