Saying saved files are corrupt and must be deleted

Nintendogs was working fine for 3 days (new game) and now it states that the saved files are corrupt and must be deleted. I had no option but to say "ok" and now the breeds list is gone and so are 2 of the dogs I had purchased.

My Nintendogs game has done that before; I had a Labrador Retreiver, and I had it for about 3-4 years. Then, it said that the files were corrupted. I had to start a new game all over again. Try that and tell me if it works out.

Corrupted files, how do you repair?

Can you still play the game ok? If the game you are trying to play wont start up, then the disk could be damaged. If it is downloaded content, then the file could be corrupt and require a more stable connection to install. You may have to delete everything about the said game including offline files to reinstall. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

How do i delete personal data from proffesor leytons curious village?

As you would've found, the game doesn't offer a option to delete a save file

The recommended method is to simply start a new game and overwrite the existing save

Saying that, this can be deleted (if you really really wanted to) by purposely corrupting the save file (by, say, turning off the DS as it saves), but this should only be done at your own risk as there's a small chance that you'll end up with a partially corrupt save file that you can neither save to or load from (as someone once found out by accident)

I HAVE BOUGHT A PROFESSOR GAME ON EBAY AND THE PREVIOUS OWNERS GAMES ARE ON IT - I WANT TO GIVE IT TO MY DAUGHTER SO I NEED TO DELETE ALL THE DATA SO THAT SHE HAS NO IDEA IT IS SECOND HAND.

PS2 Memory Card slot error! Data may be corrupt.?

as of right now there is no true fix to the problem. deleting the file does nothing to stop the future failing of future saving. the file is indeed not corrupted, however, there is something corrupt with the game and it doesn't matter if you buy a new one because it will happen again. it is the game! it is not the memory card, the save file, or your PS2. i recently purchased a new hobbit game to see if it would solve the saving issue, it did not. as soon as i got to a certain point during the Barrels Out of Bond chapter, it sent an error message first stating there was not enough room on the card, then later on it stated that the data was corrupt. there was enough memory and the file was not truly corrupt. as far as we know, there is no solution to this problem. many people have had this issue though and it would be nice if the game's developers would address the issue.

How my delete old nintendog DS files

Im really bad at describing things but I hope this helps xD

Okay, you have to turn on the ds and click on "nintendogs" if the Ds is on manual setup if ... if it isn't ignore this bit xD

When the game is just starting to load you have to hold in L+R+A+B+X+Y...

Just hold them all in and if you have done it right a message should come up saying summet like ..."are you sure you want to erase data" click yeah ..

If this don't work you ain't done it right xD

I clear my game every second day doing this

Well, I hope I've helped and good luck xD

A new file - professor layton

The game should, of course, overwrite existing saves without problem

While the game does have a few set save points, the best way to save (which can be done at any time) is to use the Save option in the trunk (some players forget about this)

If you save into a save slot doing this and it's not there when you next restart the game, then something is wrong

If you purchased the game "second hand" on eBay, then you may have ended up with a pirated copy (these have caused various problems for players including stopping during the game)

The game doesn't have an option to delete the save files

If you are confident that saving just isn't working and you're unable to return the game for replacement or refund, one drastic course of action may be to corrupt the save (by quickly turning off the DS while it saves), thus causing the game to say the save is corrupted and make a new save file ... naturally, this should only be done as a last resort

I am trying to delete the saved files on professor layton and the curious village as i want to give it to someone for a christmas presnt. Could you help please/

Load a save file you want to delete. Hit save on the same slot, and then eject the game while it's saving. Load the game again, it'll give you a message saying it corrupted a file and was deleted. Do the same for the remaining files, this doesn't erase your own file.

It worked for me hope it works for you too.
