Power quick when in use

When I use his machine, it stops and quicks and starts. It is highly frustrating. This is the second machine that I had that did this. The first one I took all apart thinking it was a loose connection. Well, that wasn't it. I took it back to Walmart and got a replacement. Now this one does the same thing. It is worse now because it only comes on for like 10 seconds and cuts out. It sometimes helps if you hold the cord a certain way, but not all the time. It is only 1 1/2 years old, and I have 2 rugs in my house so I don't abuse it. Hope you can help. Thanks, charlene
