Craftman garage pad doesn't work. When I put in code it just flashes. What do I do to get it to work?

Sounds like, A. Putting in wrong code! B. Battery is bad/going bad! C. The wireless keypad some how been rested.

If A and B isnt it, and C maybe the reason! Here is what you should do.

On the back side of operator possibly behind a plastic light cover or not! You will see a purple, red or gray square button referred to as the "smart button" witch you will need to press and release then enter 4 digit code on pad then press and hold enter till you hear the operator click and in some cases also lights will flash then release the enter button on key pad and it should work....

If you have a external receiver wired to the operator then locate the button on it and repeat same prosse.

If A, B or C doesnt work then its a faulty pad!

To whom it may concern,

1.) Point the remote towards the desired device you'd like to control.

2.) Press and hold the "aux" button at the top right hand side of your remote until all the top buttons begin flashing red.

3.) Press the small red power button at the top of the remote one time.

4.) Slowly and repeatedly press the down key on the directional pad until your device powers off.

5.) Once the device powers down, at the bottom right hand side of the remote underneath the keypad.. press the # key.
The "aux" button will flash red three times, and then your remote is linked to the box.

I am trying to unlock the region code for Sony BDP-S5100 with the URC7740. The hack program refers to "press and hold the &#147 key. Where or what is "&#"?

I would have to guess, that is probably not the correct remote. I feel I must inform you, trying to upgrade your firmware, from an unsavory hacker, can turn your unit into a brick(doorstop). IMO, proceed with caution.

Can't get it to open from the pad. I went to put in the code and it started flashing so I pressed the star button. after that, the code wouldn't work.

Try programming it again and see if that helps. Press and immediately release the smart/learn button and then walk over to your keypad and key in your 4 digit code and press enter.

Looking for codes for universal rca rcr430s remote control

You can find the remote control codes for difrent brands of devices from
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-vcr.shtml#dvd

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.
  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing the following steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash radidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keys or press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock in your new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat steps through 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the new feature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned
