Describe 'Lots of noise'.....was it static? Or high pitched varying tones (also known as handshake) Normally the two beeps are after the 'handshake tones' which means that the fax is awaiting an answer from sending machine. If you don't mind, email me your fax number so that I can hear exactly what you are hearing. [email protected]
Make sure that the telephone line from the wall is plugged into "LINE" and not "PHONE" on the fax machine. You might also call the fax number from a different phone to see if you can hear the fax tones.
To send a fax you do not need to enter anything into your fax. You have to make sure that you connect the telephone line to it's desgnated connector. You dial a number to send as if you are calling form a normal phone. If you ever get a ringing tone press start. You can enter any data trough the data registration after you make sure your fax is functioning properly.
