Very strange audio problem

When viewing the Seattle Mariners home games on Fox Sport Northwest, the audio will intermittently cut off. But wait, there's more. I only lose the English play by play portion. I can still here the crowd noise, and very faintly, the Spanish play by play. This only occurs on Mariner home games. Other programs on the same channel are normal, and away games are normal. This freak thing happens on every home game and it continues in and out for the entire game. Commercials are normal. I have two other TVs in the house that do not act this way. Changing volume makes no difference.

I was in the SAP mode, but how does that explain the intermittent cutting in and out and only on Mariner home games. The team is on the road now, so I'll have to wait a few days to test this idea. Thanks for the suggestion!

Perhaps, but why only on this one TV? Thanks for the idea.

I'm 99% sure the problem was my not understanding
SAP mode. The Mariners are on the road this week, so I can test the theory until the week-end and if it's still a problem, I'll be back.

No offense, eh, but I went to a hockey game once, but a fight broke out.

Success! Getting out of the SAP mode solved the mystery. Not only that, but the Mariners have a 4 game win streak going. I hope it continues. Thanks to all who offered suggestions and advice.

Probably just a bad feed from the network or from the Safeco field causing the issue.

Are the other TV's stereo and if not the explanation is just the fact that this set was in the SAP (secondary audio program) mode.
