I had similar problems with my GR-D470
I installed the JVC software from the CD shipped with the camcorder, I then set the camcorder to play and opened the power producer application.
I then used a USB to 4pin DV cable that I got with my digital camera. I connected the cable to a USB port on my PC and the 4pin end to a slot on the camcorder. Once this the camcorder was seen by the PC, I could control the camcorder by playing, pausing etc. and most importantly record to the PC.
Let me tell you that you can only store stills taken from your camera that too in still mode initiated on your GR-D370. To transfer video to your computer you require a firewire cable, a DV port on your PC.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.
you can usually put them on a memory card and the insert it in your phone then go to my stuff in the phone then go to memory card and select the movie or video its better to put it on the card cause you only have like 250mb worth of memory of the phone hope this was helpful :)
Back up first files on your memory card on your computer. then format the memory card on the pc. Then put back the formatted memory card and format it again on the phone. Take out your memory card then put it back again on your pc to copy your previous files. This should work.
