Question about Motorola Mobility HT820 Wireless / Cable Headset
Hi. I have a problem that though i was able to use the bluetooth headset with my pda (both mic and speakers), i was only able to use the speakers part of it with my sony labtop. I want to use it in chatting, so I tried to audio tune it with MSN messanger or skype but it failed the mic test. recording or playing back are always dimmed in the settings menue. I tried all troubleshooting with motorola technical support and sony technical support with no sucess. need your help pls. you can email me your reply on [email protected] appreciate your help.
You probably ended up setting it up as a headset on the PDA, and Headphones on the laptop. A disadvantage of this device is that it can only be paired with 2 devices at a time: A Phone that uses the mic AND the speakers, and an MP3 player or computer that uses Stereo Audio. To use the mic on the laptop, make sure you are using the Headset profile, and not the High Quality Audio profile. In other words, make sure it's a "Hands free audio", and not a "Stereo Audio". Repair the device to change its services.
