Replace Shelves I find that I am storing more cans of soda than wine bottles in my GE Wine Cooler model ZDW24A. Is there any way that I can replace the shelves with ones that accommodate cans?

Probably the thermostat is bad , you can bypass it by putting together the two wires from the thermostat and if the unit starts working ,replace the thermostat ;only do this if you havesome knowledge of electrical work and be very carefull.

Danby DWC2121BLS dual commpartment wine cooler is cooling normally but after 2 days aprox the temperature increase and beeping and flashing hi

If evaporator starts to freeze up the ice accumulated serves as an insulator and the temps go up. If you turn it off and let ice buildup melt the unit will work fine again until it refreezes.

Check if unit has a device to prevent ice build up. If so, it is not working. If warm moist air is entering the area of evaporator coil, that could also be causing the buildup.

How should I clean my wine cooler?

You should follow my exact instructions in order to clean your wine cooler properly.

1. Unplug your cooler and remove all items from it.

2. Clean the inside surfaces with a mild cleaner (I recommend you to mix water and soda).

3. Clean the wire shelves.

4. Clean the wooden shelves.

5. Wash the outside of the cooler.

6. Dry any wet part with a soft cloth.

Do I need a wine cooler to store my wines or can I store them in a normal refrigerator?

The purpose of a wine cooler is to store wines at their proper temperatures in a proper manner. Wine coolers are set to higher temperature ranges than other systems simply because wine should not be kept as cool as other beverages.

Where can I find wine cooler for picnics?

There are so many of them, but I recommend getting one that can hold more than one bottle. Even if you do not want to take 2 bottles of wine, you can always get real wine glasses and store them on the other bottle space. it will keep the grasses from braking. Try this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/i-koncepts-CB2NBH-Luxury-Picnic-Cooler/dp/B0006VHTH0

U-line 75WC wine cooler - rust on inside back wall

This happens when the racks get too close to the evaporator. Or bottles. You can try to use hot water but usually you will need to buy new racks for the unit.
