This will challenge all.
At between 3am and 4:30 am every night the microwave beeps 5 times every ten minutes (exactly) four or five times! It usually starts at 3:22 and ends at 4:02. Since I fall asleep on the couch near the kitchen this wakes me up many nights.
I have cleared every control on the microwave and it still does it. I have turned off the sound and it still does it! I have unplugged and replugged and it still does it.
I have tried simulating the experience by setting the clock to 3am during the day and it doesn't do it.
I am about to lose my mind over this problem. I feel that I am a very logical trouble shooter but this has me stumped.
Any ideas? Thanks for considering my problem.
Sincerely
Johneli
You're not going to believe this additional information. Last nite at exactly 3:22am it beeped it's normal five times. I got up and unplugged the microwave. Would you believe that at exactly 3:32 it beeped five times. I was so stunned that I rushed up to it, thinking that maybe after all this time it was the nearby oven. But no, it was the microwave!! Please don't impune my sanity. I am not a drinker or drug user. This actually happened! You're not going to believe this additional information. I advice you to contact service if it has guarantee. This seems to be a psychological problem about your oven(!). Technical person need to do an electronic research surgery on its board to see if there is any wrong thing.
Sounds as if it may be getting hot look at the back and under the unit there will be a grid of sorts sometimes at the back and//or the bottom or side/s of the machine check to see if this is free of dust etc if not clean and try again remember microwaves can give a nasty bite//please switch off and unplug first..
just off hand if you have completely removed the power to the microwave and you hear a beeping it is likely coming from another device in your home.... took me ten minutes the other day to figure out the odd noise i was hearing was the low battery alarm on my wife's cell phone.
Dude, that totally happened to my boyfriend and me! He woke up in the middle of the night to the beeping and went downstairs to check it out. It was like 3am and the microwave started displaying all 6's. Then a helicopter flew right over our apartment and he started really flipping out. Talk about scary.
