I had my battery replaced it now requires replacing i have been advised i need a 14.8v battery by acer wich i purchased however it will power my note book but my note book cant recharge charge the battery it refuses to turn on i left it on charge for 12 hours over night same result dead but when i put my old 11.1 v battery in my note book it comes alive and charges the battery the old battery is 3yrs old and now holds enough charge to power the note book for 30-50 mins so it needs replacing but everywhere i look i see 14.8v not compatible with 11.1v what does that mean as these note books can function from as little as 9v to 16v the mains charger provides 19v

Hello there:
try removing the battery from the computer and turning on the computer to see if the power cord works correctly if it does inspect the battery and clean the terminals on the battery and computer and put the battery back in while it is still on now you should see the battery show up on the taskbar if not right click anywhere on the desktop and go to properties and than go to than go to screensaver than look towards the bottom and you will see power click on it and you should see the options for the battery ok sorry this was so long but i needed to explain it in full
please dont forget to rate this
best regards mike

You ordered the wrong battery, theres two types, your original would have been 11.1v if you check the new one it will be 14.8v. They are not compatable.
