DOWNLOADING TO MEDIA PLAYER

How do you download movies from the pc to the archos media player. I have been able to download the movie to my pc but it keeps corrupting when I try to download to the media player.
Help.
Can you give me a step by step solution please as I am not that technical.

can't download any movies on player ,either say movie to large to be displayed or wrong format

1st of all, your Archos needs to be set to PC Hard Drive mode in the settings.
Then when you plug it into your pc, it will just show as a new drive.
You can then simply drag and drop movies, music, flash games, files etc.
The Archos accepts avi files with mp3 sound, however if you purchase the package which allows you to watch DVD's onthe Archos, then you also have a whole load of codec's which means it accepts Real Player files, Dolby Surround sound, you can copy 4.7 gb dvd's straight to it and much more.

screw that software. When you plug in the archos the archos asks what your doing with it. Say Hard drive mode and then you can drag and drop and file you want onto it.

Its pretty simple put movies in the movies folder and mp3s int he music folder lol.

I want to burn a dvd from movies on the internet

Whatever website you're downloading from, make sure that you have bitcomet and windows media player. Download the movie from the internet (using bitcomet) and play it in windows media player. When you enter the disk burn it using either Windows Media Player or BitComet (please check I am unsure) and burn it. If that doesn't work --- contact Dell/IBM/Microsoft

Sync with Windows media player 11

Yes i know syncing is the easiest way to hook up archos to download files have you tried manually like drop & drag the files into the video folders? Some video formats work even in the new archos series some don't & you have to buy plugins. I personally didn't like using windows media player it reminds me too much of itunes

Unable to download movies saying the media player is wrong

This depends on whoch media player you need for the file of the movie that you are trying to get. Try looking online for media player classic and also downloading a codec pack like k-light codec pack. this should sort it for you.

Install video on archos605wifi from pc without windows media player

I dont like it to use Windows media player and to synchronise.
In Settings -> System you need to set USB on 'PC Hard Drive'
Then you can use My Computer to find the Movies, just copy and past them in Archos -> Video map. Notice that Archos can't play any movie, you need special extensions.
I kow 1 exension, I convert my movies always in that 1 so Archos can read the movie: AVI MPEG4
There are more, but I need to find out.
Anyway, good luck trying to 'install' video's on Archos and also watch them ;)

How do you put things on your archos?

connect the usb cable for your archos to a computer. it then should auto connect on your computer. from there, just copy paste anything you want to watch/listen to the appropriate folders. example: video (for tv & movies), music, etc
