Sounds like there is no compatible driver installed to initiate the sound device to go active. Try to go to the Acer support/driver page and place your model in the search box and navigate to the drivers for that model. Look for the appropriate sound driver and download to a temp folder on your desktop. run the self installer and see id that clears up the problem. Good luck, ParrotHead PC Repair

1)Turn ON the wireless feature on your laptop. It will be a combination of function keys.
2)Remove preferred networks
3)Assign DNS server address manually in Wireless Network Connections Properties
4)Try to scan for wireless networks in range now with/without security
5)Try Internet explorer, else mozilla firefox, else google chrome.
It will surely go online wireless
