How do I connect DVD player to tv with yellow, white and red cables?

Yellow is the composite video signal , White and Red is the Audio stereo signal.
You will need leads that can connect to the DVD player for these signals and connect them to the video and audio inputs of the TV .
If your TV doesn't have video and audio inputs, you will need a modulator box to combine these signals and send them to the areal input.

I have a Grundig VCR which will not record tv programmes although it will play tapes quite normally. the skart lead is connected and i have tried changing it around and even a different one. cannot see...

You need to input a signal into the video from either your aerial or cable box etc. these are connected by either a scart from the cable/satelite box or the aerial input in the rear of the VCR, you will then need to tune the VCR in if using the aerial. You will not be able to record anything if there is no signal.

Rca input is broken on my infocus x1 bought vga adaptor to rca and i get no image is there some reason why it won't pick up vga connection

is the rca port broken or just not getting a signal? if it's truely broken, replace or repair the main board. if it's just a signal issue, reset the settings to factory default. try hooking up your computer and see if that works.

Pink wire whats it for, it on a pioneer avic-d2

The brake sensor wire (Lt Green) can be simulated with a toggle switch to ground.
Pink (CAR SPEED SIGNAL INPUT)
The mobile navigation system is connected here to detect the distance
the vehicle travels. Always connect the vehicle’s speed detection
circuit or the ND-PG1 speed pulse generator, sold separately. Failure
to make this connection will increase errors in the location display.
Orange/white
To lighting switch terminal

Light green
Used to detect the ON/OFF status of the parking brake. This lead
must be connected to the power supply side of the parking brake
switch. If this connection is made incorrectly or omitted, certain
functions of your navigation system will be unusable.

Violet/white
(REVERSEGEAR SIGNAL INPUT)
This is connected so that the navigation system can
detect whether the vehicle is moving forwards or
backwards. Connect the violet/white lead to the
lead whose voltage changes when the shift lever is
put in reverse. Unless connected, the sensor may
not detect your vehicle traveling forward/backward
properly, and thus the position of your vehicle
detected by the sensor may be misaligned from the
actual position.
Note: When you use the ND-PG1 speed pulse
generator (sold separately), please make sure
to connect this lead.
When you use a rear view camera, please make
sure to connect this lead. Otherwise you cannot
switch to rear view camera picture.

I just bought a pioneer pl-200 turntable at a flea market. I plugged it into an old am/fm/8-track amp's phono input and I know the amp cranks on fm but on phono, it's very low sound. It does get louder...

Turntable signal outputs are very, very low amplitude and either have to pass through a pre-amp before being connected to an amplifiers "ordinary" inputs (e.g. aux), or connect to an amplifier's specific turntable input in order to give the "normal" levels of volume.
This is because the cartridge (the bit that has the stylus or needle on it) can only generate very small amplitude signals.
As turntables are now outdated, a lot of amps no longer have a turntable input any more.
Unless you can also find a cheap pre-amp or an old amp with a turntable input, you may have wasted your money.

Dell 3100MP Projector - No Signal Check Cable

Make sure you have the right input source selected. It may be looking for a signal from some input other than the one you're connected to. Beyond that, if it truly isn't seeing the input then you'll need to have the projector serviced.

How to connect a eye trek fmd 200 to my laptop

It is not possible to connect your eye-trek directly to your computer.
you need a signal-converter (vga to av).
Have a look on ebay (e.g. this one on german ebay: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=380041599591
description is english).

Only the much more expensive fmd 700 has a built-in converter.
