While in P mode, screen and photos are dark-how can i turn this off?

If you would care to tell us the make and model of your camera (unless forbidden to do so by local or national security regulations), we might stand a chance of helping you. Until then, we too are in the dark.

How do I lighten a dark picture

Hi Richard,
Please try reducing the contrast a little and increasing the brightness till the dark shots are clear. Please also check the back light setting. It should not be too low. This should make all the dark scenes clearly visible if it only a setting problem. In case the overall brightness has reduced, please consult a local TV Tech.

I have a lg 32" tv and have connected everything

Dark picture means you have low brightness on the screen. Please increase the brightness. Also try increasing the back light intensity.

HOW TO INCREASE DARKNESS IN HP 4300

1. If you are printing using postscript driver, try using PCL6 - printout would be darker for grey scaled items.

2. Print in lower resolution 600dpi or 300dpi, printouts would be darker.

3. Try printing all characters as black

You can adjust darkness at the printer using the console menu.
In the Configuration Menu ' Print Quality sub Menu , there is a parameter called Tonor Density. Factory Default is 3. Set to 4 or 5 to increase darkness..

How do i lighten the screen ...it is so dark i can hardly read the print

If your screen is that dark when it boots up, you may have lost the inverter that supplies the increased voltage to run the screens backlight. The commands for the lightening and darkening the screen are as follows.....

<Fn> and up-arrow key Increases brightness

<Fn> and down-arrow key Decreases brightness

I have a TI 83 and the screen is black

If it has batteries, and you are sure that it turns on, the darkness setting may have been cranked up to max. Press the 2nd button and then the up/down arrows in the top right. One will increase darkness, and one will increase brightness. You will probably have to press these over and over (roughly 5 times) untill you get the desired effect

Sony DSC W50 Camera - Trouble with Flash

Hi, I guess you are using the automatic mode ( not the "P" mode).
You should enable flash only when there is insuffient light. If you use flash in broad day light, your pic will be whited out. If you dont use flash in dark or low light, your pic will be dark or very dark.
So, when it comes of dark, try enabling the flash. If its still dark, increase the flash compensation (the eV value). If its still dark, increase the ISO number.
Hope these help.
cheers,
