Retune a video player

If you want to switch between antenna (or ATSC converter box RF output) and the DVD player, you might need an A/B antenna switch with some modulator models.

2 Retune How to retune. Retuning your TV is a very quick and simple process. Could be a connection problem. Pins on plugs can become bent or damaged, sometimes it is the socket that the plug fits into that becomes damaged. Try a different connection lead.

The best option would be the HDMI-to-HDMI connection between your player and your TV. But because you mentioned that your TV is an old model, probably it does not have an HDMI port, in which case you have to use the RCA A/V connection. I understand you do not have a remote control for your TV, but you do not program a TV channel to watch DVD movies; you just switch between your TV and the DVD player as your audio/video sources. Here is what you have to do: check on your TV box for a button labeled 'Source' or 'Input'. Press on the button and it will alternate between TV and DVD (assuming you do not have any other device hooked up to your TV).

The yellow must go to the video and the sound L&R to the audio inputs. If there is no video after selection of the AV, then it is possible that the input video amplifier is faulty. If there is a second AV2 port then use it or else you might need a modulator to connecct vis the RF input.
Other wise the set must be opened to check for failure off the video amp, protection diode at the input.

the button is on your tv factory remote control. a universal remote wont work. now you can try to physically go to the channel down button on the tv. keep pushing it until it counts down the channels, then it should go to video 1, video 2, line video, front video. fixed! enjoY!

from the looks of the picture you have one audio video input port on the front of the tv. The connectors are yellow and red or yellow and white. Yellow is video and red or white are audio. Find those same connectors on the back or your dvd player, hook it up to the tv and there you go. You'll have to go to game mode or input 2 on the tv to see the dvd player.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

VICTORY! Had the same problem with my Orion model FTDV2004. Lost the remote and couldn't program a universal remote to change the input to AV. After a day of reading posts, I just started pushing the channel up button. Somewhere past channel 115 the "Line1" and "Line 2" inputs showed up.
