Question about SmartDisk FlashTrax MP3 Player

1 Answer

"copy" light keeps flashing. Blue Screen. Does not start up.

I have just charged up and tried to reuse my FlashTrax after a couple of years non use. No problem initially. All loaded up properly...but then I entered the "Software Update" set-up by mistake (not connected to a PC) and so stopped the Set-Up. From there the FlashTrax will not work or start up properly. The blue screen (wiwthwhat appears to be a part logo)and "copy" light keep flashing but nothing else happens. I have tried turning the FlashTrax off but the on / off button will not work. I have removed the battery which at least turns it off and it remains off after I replace the battery - but as soon as I turn the FlashTrax back on the same blue screen and "copy" light flashing occurs with the FlashTrax appearing to be corrupted. Please advise. Thanks.

I have a dell optiplex gx280 and i turn on the computer and it tries to start windows but thengoes to a light blue windows screen and it says that it is checking file system on c. It does a chkdsk and then...

If it looks like this picture, What your seeing is colloquially known as the 'blue screen of death.' It usually means that whatever kind of corruption is in your file system is only repairable through a full format. But first follow these steps:
If you are able to access the BIOS menu (usually holding down either F2 or F12 on startup) try booting in safe mode. If that has no success, try booting from your operating system disc. This problem is common in old computers and is a sign of the end of its life-cycle. Consider purchasing a newer model.

When I load some mp3 files onto my FlashTrax, they playback fine. Others don't. It's as if the FlashTrax doesn't recognize that they're there. What might be the problem?

Hello

OK, i would firstly advice you to make sure that all the audio files you copy to the unit is actually .mp3 format. If the files is not in .mp3 format, the unit will sometimes give you this error message.

Kind regards

Why does the battery light keep flashing?

The battery is failing to recharge itself.
Contact Dell -- a battery should last longer than that.
