Question about Samsung YP-U2X Digital Media Player
My mp3 player doesnt want to work. i turn it on and it loads up to 20% and then turns of.then i connect it to charge and it says mtp connected but then it turns of. any solutions?
I had a similar problem, the player turned on and stuck on 20%.then only reseting worked.the pc didnt recognize it either.after 2 days of frustration,i fixed it with the firmware update tool from samsung support global site.choose your exact model or similar ie:YP-U2RXB and download the firmware.also be patient and click the format option on the tool window.
important:connect directly the player to the pc,no hubs no extention cables, and be patient.it should take about 5 minutes.good luck!!

Please format ur mp3 player by right clicking after selecting the device in "my computer".Then transfer the music files again using windows media player. This should solve the problem.

I'm having the exact same problem. It started only a few nights ago after the device worked perfectly for several months. I plugged it in to my USB port and it displayed the MTP Device message on the screen, but after that it shut off, a few seconds later, it flashed on and said charging, but turned off again almost immediately. I have the problem with it not loading up past 20% as well. The model is YP-U2JQB/XAA and is the 512 MB player.
I have the same exact problem. It keeps going on for about 3 seconds and then turning off for about 3 seconds. We can't even reformat because the device doesn't stay on any longer than 3 seconds:) I tried it on an older system with media player 10 and it still does this. I also tried it without any other usb devices plugged in because i thought that it was a power issue, but nope. I still can't figure it out:( Please anyone, help us:(
