Question about Panasonic PT-56WX51 56" Rear Projection Television
When I hit the power "on" using the remote control, there's a "click" sound that comes from the TV, but no sound or picture. It doesn't work when I tried the power button on the TV.
The click sound tells us that the microprocessor circuit is working and can be eliminated. The horizontal is the number one suspect. It could be shorted. If it is, then, the high voltage transformer or the focus block become a suspect as well. The voltages on the secondary of the power supply is the next place to check. If they are all there, then, you can rule out the power supply. If the voltages are missing, then, the regulator circuit is where the problem is. If only one voltage is missing, then, the the secondary has an issue and the circuit it supplies probably has a short. Good Luck
