HOW DO YOU TURN OFF PIP ON HP LC3260N

I just started having a small black box appear in the left hand corner (close to the middle of the screen). I can't get rid of it. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? I thought it was PIP, but there isn't any PIP button on the remove. Please help. Thank you.

Hello, it's not PiP that's on , it[s a closed caption issue. the CC is in the text mode and is an easy fix. just press the CC button on the remote (it's located above the 1 button) till it says off on the tv screen, or if you use closed caption select CC1. this should take care of your problem......thanks, Terry

We have a Sharp Aquos TV with an annoying black box in the upper left hand corner of the screen. How do we get rid of it?

You may have PIP or picture in picture turned on and set to a input that has nothing connected to it. That's why the box is black. There should be a button on the remote for PIP. Try to turn it off. Or turnit off in the menu.

Black box in upper left of screen

Thats the PIP (picture in picture), which lets you watch two pictures at once.  Push the PIP remote or go into the settings to turn the box off.

There is a large black area in the upper left hand corner of the screen

If it is a square box, it is usually a text box. It can be fixed by turning closed captioning off. Either hit the CC button on the remote until off appears. Or go in to the menu find closed captioning or text and turn off. If it is not a defined box, it could be something inside the tv.

Black screen keeps popping up

If a black box appears on the screen, and a small amount of the picture is visible around the border, it means that your closed captions are on and set to TEXT. Go back into the menu, navigate to the closed captions page and set the captions to OFF.
