IM ME Girl Tech Messenger won't connect

Girl Tech IM ME Messenger will not connect to the internet for registration and connection. We have broadband and no problem with out internet. We have the pink flower but cannot make it green for connection. I have turned off the "firewall" and rebooted but that still does not correct the problem. My granddaughter received this for Christmas and is very anxious to use it. The USB antennae points down or to the side because that is how my USB on the front of my DELL XP desktop fits. Any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem and this was a christmas present for my daughter. I don't know what to do, every time we try to log in it says that it's not connected to my server. Anyone with suggestions? I still have the box and reciept for this, after contacting the company, I'll take it back if it's not going to work. The antenna on mine has to face downward or to the side as well, so is this part of the problem? I have broadband too and all the other system requirements.

This Christmas present is a load of rubbish it appears totally incompatible with modern pc's

Best thing is to throw it out to sea and hope that a yacht will use it as an anchor and at least it will be of some use !!!

aye this is the problem because the antenna really needs to be pointing upwards if it is not there will be no signal travelling through

  • Anonymous Jan 07, 2009

i used to have the same problem with my daughters IMME but as i turned the antenna up it started to work

  • Anonymous Jan 07, 2009

ohh sorry but before you turn the antenna up you will havve to shut your computer and IMMME down and take the usb key ou then switch everything on including turning the antena up and hopefully it might work. but if it does not then there is no other solution that i have so i hope your daughters and grandaughters dont have to suffer losing a lovely christnas present because im telling you now when it starts working it is just fabulous!"

I have downloaded the program and often people contact me but I have no idea how to get on myself

Check your internet connection. Slow internet connection won't let you get on with YM. Also, try to configure your connection by going to Messenger tab > connection preferences > connect directly to the internet > choose your internet connection. Worked for me, try it.

I just came up to download yahoo messenger version 10.0 beta but it wont work out . Ofcourse I do have uninstalled my old yahoo messenger version 8, After several of trials signing in on the yahoo...

well..this problem occurs sometimes with yahoo messenger 10. so you need to know how can you sign in,
when you try to sign in on yahoo messenger 10, please go to messenger settings and then in the connection settings tab, please select your network type, i mean if your network connection is broadband, select broadband..if you are using dial up modem, select it or if you are using lan..select it...then try to login again..

i think your problem has been solved.
thaks for using fixya

Im using globe broadband connection yet im unable to use ym

If you have Messenger 10 you will have the sign in troubleshooting facility to narrow down the possibilities.
If you have AVG free edition, there is a known conflict and you will have to contact AVG support for assistance ( Try signing in with AVG disabled to check this out )

81003004 issue logging into messenger

as far as wat i did to my YM.

i simply checked the connection preferences and turned

"Connect via a proxy server."

then select

"HTTP proxy"

after that take a look at your internet connection dropdown list..

some mistakes are seen here.. instead of having the "broadband" connection selected the "dial-up" connection was chosen by YM itself..

hope that helps ya ^^

Receiving error 81003004. HELP I can check messages... and have not changed my password, but can not open messenger... suggestions?

First method:
1. go to messenger menu
2. select connection preference/ preference
3. the tab will automatic select connection preference, if it doesn’t, select it manual.
4. change your internet conection type, Example: if Broadband -> broadband(DSL/Cable).

Second Method
If any proxy in Internet Explorer for anti-filtering purposes, thru which Y! Messenger was trying to connect. Need to remove it to get it done.

just go to:
Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections (tab) > Lan Settings (button)
then uncheck the Proxy server checkbox.

81003004 error connection yahoo messenger

You can try this:

Goto Connection Prefrences and use a http proxy

Click on Messenger
Select Preferences
Under Category, choose "Connection"
Then, click on the "HTTP proxy" radio button.

Note: You might want to check the internet connection type as well. If you are using Broadband (DSL/Cable), then change it to Broadband (DSL/Cable).

Connection problem 81003004

To solve this kind of network connection in your yahoo messenger, just click on your yahoo messenger, select the connection preferences in the menu and then select the proxy server as the connection preference other than the internet one. then select from either the dial-up, broadband or the high speed t1 lan connection. it's up to you how you connect.
it works for me. hope this can help you.

cheers,

I want to talk to my brother inlaw in USA using new hp LAP TOP COMPUTER WEB CAM.I am new to computer.

In addition to an internet connection (Broadband preferably) you would also need one of those instant messaging programs. There are lots of choices, like Yahoo! IM, MSN Messenger, or SKYPE. All are down loadable free of charge in their web site. I suggest asking your brother in law what IM software he is using, just to make setup a lot easier.
