Question about Samsung ML 1710 Laser Printer

1 Answer

Paper scrolling i have a ml 1710 laser printer. it seems as if the printer all of a sudden is having trouble getting the paper from the drawer into the printer. it goes round and round...sounds like it's trying to turn and pick up the paper, but some how can't feed it through the printer. there are even marks on the end of the paper where the 'turning device' has tried to grab on. i tried putting more paper in, then taking some out to see if the level of paper made a difference. nothing has helped. any ideas? thanks.

Sometimes there is a spring in the paper tray which pushes the paper upwards so it presses against the rubber roller in the body which pulls the paper into the printer. If this spring has become dislodged or similar, it won't push the paper up with enough force for it to work. Also, somethimes in an older printer or one which has seen much use, the rubber roller can become deformed, causing a similar problem. This one is much harder to fix because spare parts are usually either not available or extortionately priced!

Online error light nothing prints

I have a ML 1710 .Not my area of expertise but I took out the paper and could not see a jam. Took toner out , a little cleaning, plugged and unplugged from computer several times. I found paper jammed in the very back ,folded so tight nothing was showing. Mine has a back door and the paper is having trouble rounding the last bend and coming out. So I leave the back door open to get my copies. Green light on.

My samsung 1710 laser printer is not printing every page. It sometimes doesn't feed the paper through or misfeeds

you need to clean the feed rollers with rubbing alcohol or have them replaced...

ML-1710 Printer won't print

Our printer at work does this and I found that a piece of paper was stuck under the rollers. As soon as I removed it the paper went through. Another problem could be that you may need to FAN the paper and make sure the other side is feeding in first. Hope this help

Paper jam

You could try cleaning the tires if you can get to them and check to see if there isn't any paper stuck in the paper path.
