SOURCE: Canon 6570 Copier Scan to a network file share, not email it

the easiest way to do this is to goto additional functions, address book, register new address, file, then you can type in the name you would like ie. Bill or Contracts. when it asks for the file path change it from ftp to smb and then select browse this will let you browse the network and just select till you get to your shared file. you can also type the ip address in the address bar of internet explorer and manually put the file path in the RUI under address book.

Testimonial: "This was great info and very quick. It is great to network with others and hopefully I can do the same for someone else down the road."

SOURCE: trying to scan, but keep getting error code

I finally got a solution to my problem, which is the same as this one. When trying to scan via USB, you have to make sure the unit is set to USB. On the top panel just above the LCD display, is 3 buttons, Copy, Fax, Scan. Hit the SCAN button, till the display says USB SCANNING. Then try to scan again. Good luck!!

Help! TC4 scanner Scan to file not saving to the saved path!

Hello! I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the scan to file feature on your TC4 Scanner. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try:

Check the permissions on the destination folder: Make sure that the user account running the scan to file feature has write permissions to the destination folder. If necessary, try changing the permissions to allow write access.

Check the file format: Make sure that you have selected a file format that is supported by the scanner and that you have specified the correct file extension in the file name. Some scanners have limitations on the file formats they can save to.

Try a different destination folder: Sometimes, there can be issues with a specific folder or drive that prevent files from being saved. Try saving the scanned file to a different location to see if that resolves the issue.

Check the scanner settings: Make sure that you have configured the scanner settings correctly for the scan to file feature. Double-check the settings to ensure that everything is set up correctly.

Update the scanner driver: Make sure that you have the latest driver for the scanner installed. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause issues with scanner features.

I hope that one of these solutions helps to resolve the issue. If you continue to have trouble, you may want to contact the scanner manufacturer or consult the user manual for further troubleshooting steps.

My Canon E510 printer is showing Scanutility Code: 13,242,0 and am unable to scan any document.

The scan utility may be trying to save the file to a directory that doesn't exist. Alternatively, the disk may be full or the directory is set to read only. When you installed the program, the default scan destination folder can end up with only the Administrator account having write permission.

Assuming that the drive isn't full, the simplest solution is to create a new folder to store your scanned documents in File Explorer (Windows). Next open the scan utility program as an administrator; right click on the executable and choose Run as Administrator. In the scanner settings, change the destination folder to the folder you created.

I hope this helps.

(On some computers with a small C: drive (SSDs in laptops/netbooks), you'll need a second (external) drive to store the scanned documents.)

Set up scan and send for canon C2030

scan and send works in two ways. It can scan to email, then you have to put smtp server on the email settings and create destination in the adress book. The other way is to scan and send to the file. Create a folder at the destination pc, share it in the network with acces rights for everyone, then create destinatinon entry in the address book. Change it to file, host name would be the ip or host name of the machine you are trying to send to. Folder path is the name of the folder you just created. Login and password would be the l/p for the pc you have created the folder at. and thats it. Should work straight away :)

Can not scan to pc, Aficio MP161spf, conected to pc with hub, no server. printing from all pc's but cant scan to eather.

Hello!
You can make scan-to-folder with this machine.
First you need to create users and then put the path to the folder of each user (user=Pc).
Befor you put the path to the folder you need to create new folders on each PC.
Do not forget to:
1 - share that folder with full permissions.
2 - Log in authentication for each PC.

If you have any question reply to me.
I will be glad to help you.

Ricoh Aficio 1027 stopped working

You were able to scan okay before? If you can print but not scan, generally it's a firewall or permission problem. You could try creating an exception for the Ricoh in your firewall software.

The folder that you scan to hasn't moved, has it? Is the path still exactly the same? Try turning off your firewall and/or anti-virus software and see if you can scan then.

Unable to send scanned document

What error code are you getting? Try to scan again and let it fail. Press system monitor, scan, log. Look for jobs with Result of NG. Highlight one and press details. At the top, look for Result: NG (####). It will display an error number there. What is that error number?

751 cannot connect to server
7xx cannot connect ...
8xx could connect, but error...
801 bad user/pw or firewall
802 user/permissions
899 unknown if successful, may be normal

Check additional functions, system settings, network settings, email/ifax settings. Check SMTP server IP and authentication / encryption.

Ignore POP or recieve options as they are for IFAX.

Lanier copier won't scan to computer

IF you're scanning to folder, check your security settings in file sharing. Try allowing all permissions to each listed and apply.
If you there is a computer that you know definately works already, have a look at their settings in security tab of file sharing - and change permissions to allow full control (for now). See if your scanning works.
