I bought a finepix f11 from an auction. It works fine except that LCD is black always. Looks like no light on it, also when I expose the LCD to tourch it displays images on a negative state. do I have to change the LCD? I think hard reset may help. but I do not know how to do hard reset.
This indicates the back light has blown.
The whole screen will need replacement- if the part is available -of that I cannot advise you,
The repair costs in a work shop will outstrip the value of the camera, that is alomost certain

Sounds like the CCD (main image sensor) is dead. It should be covered under warranty. It doesn't sound like there is anything you've done, or can do to rectify it. Get it in to a Fuji service center with your warranty/receipts.
you should replace the lcd screen from an authorized service center. or you can buy the lcd screen alone from ebay and find someone to replace it .remember never open the camera unless you know very well how to replace it.thanks for using fixya. please dont forget to rate my solution
Have you tried to format the camera? Alternatively, and don't mean to sound rude but have you taken the lense cap off?
Are you getting any menu options on the lcd screen or is it totally blank? If this is the case then likely there is a problem with your camera and you should speak to who ever you bought it from.
That is definately a cracked lcd your describing! I doubt there is an easy solution but maybe...
If you are able to get into the menu and disable the LCD that might help.
However! The fact that the LCD is broken shouldn't keep the camera from running (though its remotely possible)
If you can't shut it off or work without it the odds are you've got an expensive paperweight.
At least thats what I gather based on your description.
Could be easy fix but possibly not.what is wrong is back light for lcd not working, could be anything from loose connection to backlight itself, would have to be seen by cam repair shop.GET ESTIMATE FIRST.
