I want to play games on my device...please help!!!
I not to long ago, purchased a Toshiba Gigabeat S60. I am very impressed with the storage capacity, the sound and the visuals. However, I am not able to play games on this device. There is no games folder to download any to either. I really would hate to think the I bought this prematurely and will be now disappointed because it is not versatile enough to enable game play. If anyone can offer assistance in this matter I would greatly appreciate it.

Just install your software that came with your Gigabeat. After installation please run the following program. Start/Programs/Toshiba Gigabeat Room/Formatting Utility for Gigabeat. This will place all the files back in the hard drive. Please do not format this unit from My computer to the drive letter. You end up deleting the system and boot files.if that does not help try this
in your software you right click on your gigabeat room and open it up and find gbsytem folder drag and drop into your gigabeat on your my computer screen. and then check out.try it couple of times.many times this does work for first time directly.--------you can also try contacting topshiba service center click the link directlyhttp://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp----------try downloading the firmware again and installing it in your deviceclick this link directly for firmwarehttp://www.megaupload.com/?d=MO4S7T6I-----This will help. Thanks please keepupdated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.
The Gigabeat is not recognizing the firmware on it. The easiest way to re-install the firmware is to install Gigaroom. It will be able to recognize the Gigabeat and replace the firmware.
I had the same problem. Reinstalling the firmware solved it but you can't get it from Toshiba (they were no help). I found a copy on the web but have since had a hard drive so I no longer have the file. Try a Google search for gigabeat firmware and you should track it down.
There is a little battery cut of switch at the bottom of the device. You can unbend a paper clip and switch it off. Then switch it back on after a few seconds. Plug it back into the usb cable to charge it. It should work ok now.

Download http://rapidshare.com/files/25382872/GigabeatSRecover.rar.html and connect your gigabeat to the computer. The portable media center will install.
