Question about Sony KV-32S42 32" TV
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but what you have is the Sony classic bad picture tube. All the events which you described were coincicence. When a Sony picture tube is weak there is a circuit which detects emission from the guns , if the emission is low, a video blanking signal is applied. Sometimes you can turn the screen up (inside of TV, Not recommeded for non-technicians. an you may get a watchable picture. This however is not a fix. The picture tube is bad. Hi there, my name is Mayra Diaz with DISH Network, I just ran into your post, just wanted to make sure that everything is working ok for you. Usually when this issue happens we would replace the HDMI cable first and if that would not work we would replace the DVR receiver. If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to post back.
