Try restarting the computer, and check if you have latest systems updates. Also good to repair permissions in Disk Utility.

How old is the laptop. From the error it appears it is meant to run on a 64 sys. Most sys are 32. Was your Desktop a 64 sys. If I am right, the prog will not run on the laptop
