Question about Sanyo DS27930 27" TV

1 Answer

Power Issue no power whatsoever is reaching my TV. One day it randomly just did not power on. Also, the famous clicking noise is completely gone as well, this leads me to believe it is a power supply issue. When inspecting the board, no transistors or capacitors or fuses seem to be blown. everything appears to be in normal condition. No change was made between the last working time of the TV and the failure of it. It simply just won't power on anymore?

I've seen bad switcing transistors in the relay drive circuit but really not much to go on here, the possiblities are numerous. Probably need a PRO look

Reconnect internet to tv

It sounds like you have been connected before. If so settings should be in memory on TV. Try power cycling your modem and attempt to access on TV again once your modem had completed rebooting. This time of year (thunderstorms) it is common for modems and connected devices to establish a new connection. Small little power hiccups are famous for causing connection issues. I've even seen where some connected devices have no issue while others loose network connection.

Hi I have a sony kp-53HS10 TV. When i turn it on it use to make a clicking noise and than the tv would turn on, but now the clicking noise is gone and nothing comes on. A red light under the tv stays on....

Sounds like a Power Board / Video Board issue - stand by power is still ok - and why you have a red light - but the set is unable to power up the panel to drive a picture. Or the video board is the issue an is no longer processing the image to your panel. Based on the clicking noise - I lean towards the power board as the issue.

Samsung Tantus Model 553W HDTV1080i, when you turn the tv it just has a black screen and makes a clicking noise like it is turning on and off

Samsung has had a issue with several models, with power supply going out. The clicking noise is what lets you know it is the power supply, it is teying to cut on but has not power from the board so it cuts off. I would call Samsung and see if your model happens to be listed as the models they are covering the power supply for, your exact model number is HCM553WX. If that model is not on the list of covered models, you can ask Samsung what to do, because parts for your tv are no longer available. Hope this helps. You can reach Samsung at 1-800-726-7864
