After a quick power surge in home, found unit in constant beep mode with the green light on the far right of the three modes. Turned unit off and now the unit appears dead. The reset circuit in rear does nothing. Just like no power at all. Does this mean the batteries died or did the surge fry something inside? Don't want to buy replacement batteries if not the likely fix.
SOURCE: Did my Conext 900AVR die or is it just a battery?
I took my Conext CNB900 to Batteries Plus and they put in a new battery and checked the unit and found that the new battery solved the problem.

You need to run recalibration on the unit. The supplied PowerChute software & cable will allow you to do this if you hook the UPS up to a PC (I know it works with the serial cable, not sure about USB). If you only have a MAC then I cannot offer a solution other than to buy the standalone PowerView device from APC. It will cost a bit more than a battery, but may save you from buying needless batteries in the future. I finally broke down an bought one, but note that I was still having the problem after the 1st recalibration. By trial and error (and maybe a vague memory) I put my MAC in sleep mode, that dropped the load to stop the lights from flashing. Then I recalibrated with a 22% load and now it finally seems better (lights no longer flashing). This was with a Smart-UPS 1000.
Let me know if that helps.
SOURCE: beep and chime will not work
I think there would have been a minute spring coming from the back of the watch module to the backplate of the watch - this spring carried a vibration / beep which echoed off the backplate. Chances are you have damaged this spring during battery change - as i did with my gShock. Basically it's nackered!
SOURCE: my ps3 suddenely turned itself off mid-game.
try this:
it works for slimline PS2. might work for PS3.
1) turn off PS3
2) unplug PS3 and wait a minute or two before plugging back in.
3) turn on PS3
hope this helps.
it could also be overheating.
SOURCE: Camera was dropped in water for just seconds.
Water has got inside the camera and is causing the problems you have stated.
The battery is discharging quickly due to the water damage and the pictures you are able to still take have symptoms of over exposure, most likely caused by water in the lens.
The cost to try and repair would almost certainly match that of buying another camera. Just depends on who you send it to to have it looked at.
