Panasonic trouble TV is four months old and it was working fine. The last time it worked was last SAT. and TUE when I turn on there was sound and color vertical lines, about half inch thick. Cannot use menu, etc., because only see lines in TV, COMP, etc. Any idea? Thank you

Without looking at the set I would think the problem was in the optic block. An expensive repair, but, since the set is only four months old it's under warranty. Go to the service section of Panasonic.com and find an Authorized Service Center (ASC) in your area to have the set repaired. Good Luck.

The sat button on my remote is rapidly blinking, and now most of the other buttons will not work.

When the SAT button blinks repeatedly, or the buttons do a dance (Sat & DVD, TV & AUX, repeat) it means you need new batteries. Replace all four AAA batteries, ensure they are all four aligned the same way, and then hit SAT. Your remote should return to its normal function. If you leave the batteries out for too long, the remote will forget how to operate the TV and receiver, so be sure to have all four new batteries ready before you remove the old ones.

Screen is fine when I first turn on TV, then goes black

Sounds like you dlp lamp is going out. That's a pretty old TV and if you are still running on the stock lamp this is exactly the type of thing that will happen. The lamp model for this particular tv is the ty-la1001. You can find that over here:
