Turn off power remove blower housing (screws and wires) use a crescsent wrench to loosen bolt and reset wheel on shaft in the center of housing and then retighten bolt be sure to set it on the flat part of the shaft then reinstall in reverse order

What's the compression like? Take the recoil housing off, remove the spark plug. Turn the 'pawl' by hand, you'll feel if its smooth when the pistons in motion with no resistance. If there's any stiffness or grinding, then you'll be looking at possibly replacing the cylinder and piston/ and rings. It could also be a crank bearing or con-rod bearing so if you're not mechanically minded id suggest taking it to a repair center.

Sounds like you either have a bad bearing in the blower motor or crap trapped in the squirrel cage...mice are bad about getting inside the duct work and building nests...either way it probably wiped out a bearing

Is the blower motor resistor on the inside of the car or under the hood on a 2001 Daewoo Leganza?

Blower motor resistor is in the blower motor housing, on the passenger side inside the car. Easy to access.

Have grinding noise in dash repeat over and over. sounds like CD trying to recycle but no CD inside and no cassette tape. it only comes on when ign switch on, no sound when key switch on access

I bet you have a leaf or leaves inside the heater blower compartment. The blower motor fan is always turning slowly even though the AC or fan is turned off to provide for ventilation. See if the grinding noise changes when you turn the AC fan on or off.

No Heat

Hi, the flaps that direct the air for either hot or cold air works with servos situated against the heater box. The grinding noise was the gears on the inside of the servo stripping. After numerous reset processes (switching the car on and off), the servo was reset to its normal state which is in the cold direction. You will have to replace the servo in order for the heater to work again.

turn it off thaw out clean evaporator clean filter the grinding is the blower wheel hitting the froze solid. hope the blower wheel is not wrecked. use 409 to clean. Tom

Grinding noise

In my humble opinion, a dryer making a grinding noise is worth repairing. Possible Problems:

Worn Drum Rollers (Very Likely): More of a thumping / grinding sound. Replacing drum roller supports is considered to be a routine "normal ware & tear" repair with parts costing about $15 - $20 or so. Its' kinda like a tune-up for a vehicle. The rollers can be located in a couple places, but are typically located on the inside rear of the drum; upon dis-assembling the dryer.

Broken/Loose Blower Fan Wheel (Likely): The blower wheel can become loose or brake off the motor shaft and can make a "rumbling / grinding sound and can run about $15 - $25 for the part. The degree is difficulty when repairing a little high, but is commonly performed.

* Note: Removing and threading the blower wheel is reverse to prevent the fan blower from natually spinning/coming-off "Righty loosey, lefty tighty"

If the wheel is rubbing on the housing obviously that's no good. Yes that is one solid piece, it needs replaced. Not an extremely difficult job, toughest part likely getting the wheel off the shaft. Sand exposed shaft and use some lubricant. Before removing motor mark on the housing where the wires are located/ direction they point. Do not forget to tighten set screw upon reassembly. the problem could be in the blower wheel or motor, is there a vibration with the blower on and grinding. i rec removing blower motor and inspecting that further. debris could be cought inside it or blower may need replacing. it may not be that bad of a repair $$.
