Philips HDTV error code

I have a Philips flat screen HDTV, model 42PF9431D/37. It shut off by itself and now I only get a red blinking light that flashes 7 times. Does anyone know what this error code is or where i can get a list of the diagnostic codes?

Red blinking light just stays on no picture screen

Sounds like you have a power supply problem within the TV. It will need to be serviced.

My philips tv flat screen keeps shutting off and a red flashing code starts blinking?

Not sure what code since you didn't say, but here is the code breakdown.

When the TV does this, the RED LED on the front will blink. For digits 1-10 it will blink pause then repeat. For numbers with 2 digits it will blink the first digit slow and then second digit fast. So 25 would be 2 slow blinks followed by 5 fast blinks.

Red light flashing 7 times on Phillips 42PF9431D/37 HDTV

No, I don't think you have a lemon, you have a great TV. It is just to complex for you to fix yourself. I think you have a ADC that went bad and needs to be checked out. You need to have a service adjustment done by your Service Tech. You just can't fix the ADC without clearing the buffers, and all the other procedures needed to fix this TV. I think your TV repair persons are probably just going over the complex procedures to fix your TV. This TV is real special, complex but, simple too. It has some 5 digit error code buffer procedures, I have never seen on any other sets. I do think you will need one sharp Philips Service Tech, and maybe Philips can help you with that if they haven't already. If you are not getting response from your Service Tech, I'd call Philips or a certified representative and have them get you one now. You shouldn't have to wait because, the local service techs haven't done their homework, or can't do the work.

Click here for a Philips service site, if needed.

Philips hdtv lcd 5 blinking red lights

If u want to see what model the tv is without taking it off the wall enter this code with your remote. "123654" on the first screen it will have your model number and serial number.
As for the error 6 its a 5volt supply error.
And for error 5 you have a bad osc crystal.
