This set is four years old and has always worked perfectly. This problem started recently. Diagonal stripes through the picture appear on power up and sometimes they will go away after about fifteen minutes.
Poor solder connections, resolder convergence ICs or you may beed to replace them.

I also have a samsung dlp hln5065w that has diagonal lines that seem to ripple through the picture. At times, the picture seems to clear up after a while. Sometimes the ripples clear up and return. Anyone have a theory?
I have the problem with diagonal lines but it appears only when I am playing a DVD or we attach a gamebox as input.
