I just hooked up this used dishwasher. It's a GE Nautilus and not sure of the model number. The problem is is when it's done washing the dishes there is still little bits of lose food on the dishes. Like little bits of rice or whatever else we put in there and its not stuck on, it just sets there on like the silverware. It must not be rinsing like it should. Just hoping it can be fixed pretty easy. Just hooked it up two days ago.
I rinse my dishes thoroughly and get off every speck of food before putting them into the dishwasher and I still have this problem. I discovered that whatever I had put into the garbage disposal prior to or during the dishwashing cycle was getting into the dishwasher (like whole spiral pasta, etc. as evidenced by what was newly in the bottom of the dishwasher around the filter). So, you also might want to make sure that your sink drain is completely cleared out and well rinsed before running the dishes. Just a thought.

Re:
Check water level is ok. check its heating. open door when in operation and check if spray arms are rotating. if not, take them out, run water into centre hole and check water comes out of jets. note the spray arms only rotate with water coming out of angled jets at end

Hi, In reading about your dw problem, you are in need of a complete door switch assembly. You will need the full model number, and then find your nearest ge supply house to purchase the part. Hope this helps.
Try this site, if you live in a large enough center you may have a store in your area. It's a great resourse site, type in your model number, has exploded views of your machine.
Although most GE roller assemblies are universal...you will need the model....#...(which you will find on the inside of the washer on the wall of the drum).....but here is a part number and the link to get exactly what you need
this should get you going this place is great I have used it many times....and fair pricing..... Good luck, good day....and thank you for rating my effort....The Fang.
We just bought a used version of the GE Nautilus and we were able to get a generic "fits most portable dishwashers" adapter and it worked great. We went to Fred Meyer (which I believe is a Kroger company in the NW) and it was the only one they had. It only cost $3.99. The brand is Plumb Craft by Waxman and the model number is 76-127. Dishwasher Faucet Aerator. Hope this helps!
The only reasons to replace a pump motor are very loud motor or leaking water from the seal of the pump / motor assembly. The motor comes as the pump / motor assembly, and is not real cheap and not particularly easy to replace, so you may want to consider cost of replacing the entire unit. Appliance repair locations can order for you, or you can order directly from GE over the phone. (GE answer center 800-626-2000) Make sure you have complete model number, located on the sticker on the left side of the tub just inside the door.
