You have to ensure that the pictures are set to save automatically once you snap the pictures. It may have been set to just preview and then delete the pictures. You have to specify that you want it to save the pictures once they are taken. Also, you may have to change the camera mode to playback mode so as to enable the camera present all the pictures that have been taken and that are on the memory of the camera. If it is still on the camera mode, you would not be able to view the pictures. post the name and model of the camera for more help.

The EOS Digital Rebel, EOS Digital Rebel XT and EOS Digital Rebel XTi do not support stamping the date and time on the image.
It is not possible to record the date and time as part of the image at
the time the picture is taken. However, the date and time is captured
in the EXIF information of the image at the point of capture. It is
possible to print the image with the date and time via printing
software. Please see the documentation for the software package that
you use for printing images for the proper procedure.
I do not know of the picture perfect mode. In neg art mode the image will appear as a negative on the screen. If you open it to an image editing application with an invert image command in it, you will actually see what you would have seen had it been shot in normal mode. You can print it either way. If it looks like a neg on your screen then it will look like that on your print.
