Black block shape at bottom right corner

My Hitachi Ultravision 60V500 was recently damaged during our move to a new state. The TV turns on fine and looks normal except for a black block shape at the lower right hand of the screen. It looks to me like something may have shifted in front of the projection unit during shipping. The block is very defined, not cloudy, which leads me to beleive it may just be something in front of the projection unit. Is this a fixable issue? Any help appreciated!

Your TV has a defective optical block which should be replaced by a TV technician only. Due to the cost of the part and labor, it is almost less expensive to replace the TV. The part number for the optical block is UX23751 and is available at the following web site. I hope that helps : )

My Hitachi LCD rear projection TV has blue color in left corner

It is most likely the tube going out. Find some one to replace the tube if the TV is fairly new other wise it is going to be a trend. One tube now and another.. and so on. Ride it out as long as you can then go for an upgrade

Many thin black horizontal lines on my Hitachi Ultravision 50" TV

Good Day, LDS also;
You may have a poor seated cable connector. Unplug TV from A/C, remove back look for a large black connector. It connects between the Main Digital Module and the Drive PWB. Re-insert both ends several times to make better contact, use contact cleaner if have but not always needed. Good Luck, big IRISH.
