Clearing Memory I need to know how to clear the memory on a panafax UF-770. Please HELP! Lily-put

this comes with a huge warning......
don't mess with too many settings here
you may end up with a large paperweight


enter the service mode
press 'function'
press 7
press 'monitor' 4 times
press *


scroll down to 6 : ram initialize
only play with 08 and 09
08 : delete flash memory
09 : clear jobs

clearing anything else can cause huge problems

then turn the machine off and back on

wait for the machine to initialize.... 3 mins.

You probably have bad jobs stuck in memory if you are not dead out of toner.

To clear the memory

press
function

monitor key slowly 4 times

scroll down to ALL JOB CLEAR
set

your fax will now reboot after 2 mins.

What happens when you try to send?

for the date press (( function-7-1-start)) use the arrows to go to the time.

Your modem/fax board is most likely bad. there is a relay on that board that has probably failed. It is stuck. I doubt it can be made to work. those are really small relays on those boards.

There should be a memory clear procedure in the menu to stop that.
You will have to reenter the time date, your phone and business name once you clear the memory.
I dont have a book for that particular machine, but faxs do have a memory clear feature for lock ups like that.

go into service mode then into ram initialize and do all job clear. yo avoid this happening again set "inc. file save to invalid"
