Question about Motorola Mobility H700 Wireless Headset
I paired the Motorola H700 with my Blackberry Pearl 8100, but the headset still doesn't work. I selected the H700 device on my phone and hit connect, but I get the following message: "Handsfree connection to Motorola H700 failed." What am I doing wrong?
MY PHONE TELLS ME THAT ITS PAIRED WITH THE DEVICE BUT IT STILL ISNT WORKING

Open the boom on the headset and hold the button until it turns purple. Go to "Setup Bluetooth." Click "OK" when it tells you to be sure the device is in pairing mode. When the list of devices comes up, choose the H700. Enter passcode "0000."
The device will appear in your paired devices list in the "Setup BlueTooth" screen. Close the boom on the H700 then reopen it and hold the button until it turns purple. Click on the H700 in the devices list. Choose "connect."
This worked for me.

Re-pair the phone per Solution #4. If you get a message along the lines of "No new devices found", select "no" and then select "motorola H700". Click the track ball and select "Connect". That did it for me.

Solution number 4 above worked for me. I have two H700's here; the new one behaves this way, the old one works the first time through without needing the second pairing trick. Motorola must have changed something in their latest version of this headset.
Also, don't forget the next step, once paired, you need to shut the boom, re-open it and answer Yes to the popup about accepting a connection from your headset (and check the 'dont ask in future' box). Because I hadn't done the magical 2nd-pair-connect solution above, this phase just wouldn't work for me so I'm glad I found it!

I was having trouble pairing my H700 to my Blackberry 8100. You have to do it twice. The first time for the initial pair where you type the passcode for the headset. After that when you open the headset you dont hear anything and it doesnt connect by just opening the boom. To solve that, you have to go to the paired devices list, select the H700, your Blackberry should have the oiption to connect. But first, close the boom on your headset and hold the button until it turns purple, then hit connect on the Blackberry, it should say Connected! You will notice a double arrow next the the bluetooth icon on the main screen when you open the boom, it will disconnect and reconnect every time after that.

Place the unit headset back in pairing mode by holding the call button for 1 to 5 seconds until the light turns purple. Then open the boom. Then try to reconnect .

I bought a bluetooth Insignia headset and I cannot hear the music on my blackberry pearl 8100 on the headset. But when I receive an outside call I can hear the music for a few minutes when I hang up.

Did you try deleting all devices paired and then try pairing again?

Hi, my Motorola H700 is new and it never worked. I successfully paired it with my Blackberry but the connection fails. Any help? thanks
Just went through the instructions for pairing the motorola h700 bluetooth headset to my blackberry pearl and am very "frustrated" that after following all the instructions I cannot get this bluetooth headset to work!!!! Any suggestions or solutions to this problem? I've completed the pairing of my phone and headset (yes, I entered the password too) but still....no signal/sound comes out of the earpiece when connecting to calls??? SOS SOS???
I have used the H700 for well over a year. Unfortunately I keep losing them, and have to replace them. Until recently there was never an issue getting thr H700 to connect with me 8100. The last two H700s I have bought exhibit the same problem as others have described, where supposedly I successfully pair the device with my Blackberry Pearl, but when I open the boom nothing happens, and when I try to manually connect it says that the connection attempt failed.
I tried Solution #4 and it worked perfectly, and continues to do so. Not sure why this extra step is necessary but at least it now works.
I paired the Motorola H700 with my Blackberry Pearl 8100, but the headset still doesn't work. I selected the H700 device on my phone and hit connect, but I get the following message: "Handsfree connection to Motorola H700 failed." How can I correct this?

Solution 7 worked for me. Start pressing the headset button before you open the boom, and keep pressing after you open it till it turns purple.
