Question about Dell E153FPc 15" TFT LCD Flat Panel Monitor

2 Answers

Monitor A circuit breaker popped, and when reset the PC started fine, but the monitor didn't. It's a 15 inch flat panel. The power light will blink from orange to green, and there will be a momentary flicker on the screen (it's too quick to tell if there is any content or if it's plain white) each time the light changes from orange to green. It behaves as if it's in sleep mode, but nothing I do will wake the monitor. It does this regardless of which PC it's attached to and other monitors work fine on the PC. We had surge protection on both pc and monitor. Is there a way to reset the monitor? It's a Dell E153PC 15 inch TFT LCD Flat Panel. There are four buttons on the front of the monitor, one is the menu, one has a plus sign, one has a minus sign, and the fourth is the power button. I have discovered that if I hold the minus sign button down, the power light will change to just orange and stay that way unless I disconnect power then it will return to the blinking state. I also cannot shut the monitor off with the power button. I've tried holding buttons down when I connect power, in all combinations, to no avail, I set up a computer to go into sleep mode, connected the monitor, then woke up the computer with no luck, I placed a PC in hibernation, connected the monitor, woke up the PC, and no luck there either. Is there something I'm missing? I've swapped out the cable with one that I know works and that didn't help, I've replaced the power cable (I know, but I'm desperate) and that didn't help either. Any further ideas would be most welcome.

The circuit breaker popped due to power fluctuation or something else ? It is clearly understood that your LCD monitor suffered some component burn inside otherwise it would show 'NO SIGNAL' sort of Display if it is not connected. There is nothing to resset. Please open it up & check if there is any sign of burned component or take it to a service center if it is still under warrenty.

Trips breaker

tripping breaker indicates over load or dead short
it could be from failed start /run capacitors on the compressor unit ( (most likely)or from vermin across the power board
I suggest that you have a technician inspect and quote on repairs

Loud pop while fixing a light and now the light wont go back on

More than likely tripped the circuit breaker for that circuit in the main breaker panel. I would check they should be labled for which one controls the lights for that room. Just turn it off and back on to reset the breaker switch.

Dishwasher control panel unresponsive

OK I am not an expert but I have spent the last two weeks learning about and fixing my dishwasher! Hopefully I can save you a headache. Try the following:

* Flip the switch off and on in your breaker/circuit box for 10-15 minutes. May reset your washer.
* If that doesn't work, try running diagnostic/reset cycles by pressing heated dry -normal- heated dry or heated dry-sanitize-heated dry in sequence. If the cycles run fine, you will rule out a power, latch, motor/drying issue. It also may (hopefully) reset your system.
* If normal function still does not resume after that, make sure your power (from the breaker box) is turned off and unscrew (with a star-shaped screwdriver bit - check your car emergency kit or toolbox, you may find you have it) and open the front button control panel and check all connections. Try carefully unplugging and replugging wires and look for any corrosion/moisture on the circuit board.
* If everything looks good but that does not work, test the circuit board by unplugging the green ribbon cable from the control panel, reassembling with the ribbon cable unplugged, flipping your circuit back on and then closing the dishwasher door. If the drain motor runs, it will show you that there is still some function with the circuit board. Although it doesn't rule out the circuit board completely, it will point to a most likely control (button) panel issue and try replacing that. If the drain test does NOT run, it may be the circuit board that needs to be replaced.

There may be some additional instructions specific to your model hidden in an envelope behind the kickplate of your washer.

Hopefully some of that helps!

Machien wont start, fill up or anything please help

just had same problem, washer was working and when new load was started it would not start. circuit breaker popped and reset it. no lights on panel and circuit breaker good in house. pulled power panel off and opened circuit card and notice black burn spots between cards which looks like the control panel is fried now. Cost about 200 to order, not knowing other costs if repairman fixes it.

HOW TO OPEN THE DELL MONITOR # 153FP BACK PANEL TO CHANGE THE BULB?

You have to remove the stand and use very thin flat balde screw driver to pop the front and the back panel apart starting at the bottom pf the unit. Are you sure that the back light lamps are bad? More likely to be the inverter circuits of bad capacitors in the power supply which is more likely, and if it does have bad caps, it will usually take out the transistors in the inverter circuit with it.

I have 2 siemens circuit breakers that won't reset. How can I do

unplug the appliance that is overloading the breaker.
reset the breaker, plug in the appliance. if the breakers pops, then the appliance is the problem.
you may want to check the appliace manual and make sure the breaker is rated for the appliance you are using.

Monitor won't display.

I would suggest that the "Event" that caused the CB to trip has caused ya Monitor to fail.. Probably in the Power Supply, My "Pet" area... lol.. anyway Thats wat I would think. It may even have an internal "Fuse" that has "Blown"?
