DBV -T 100

I recently aquired a used but otherwise working fine duall core AMD Athlon Pc with the above card installed. Either clicking on the DVB Plus pull down icon ,or using the supplied remote I get the DVB-T red Logo box appearing on screen and almost immediately up pops the error message 'cannot render MPeg2 demux filter'.I am subsequently deprived of all the supposed available menu options etc. Equally frustrating this seems to prevent me from selecting the other alternative inputs on the card ie the compostite in video RCA,or the S-VHS input either although I did try inputing signals to no avail. Not being the original owner I have neither the installation CD or User manual,but I have checked under device manager and all the listings for the card seem to be there. I would really appreciate your help on this matter as otherwise I am pleased with the PC and it's 7.1 surround system. Kind Regards Malcolm McKenzie.

Your socket is AM2. You can put any AMD processor that has AM2. If the processor is AM3 just upgrade the bios of your motherboard and it should work. If you need further assistance, just leave a comment. Cheers

Does amd 6000+ support dvr card ??

You are referring to a processor model (AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+) - which has nothing to do with supporting your DVR or not - what you should look at is your MOTHERBOARD brand/model and what type of slots does it have and what chipset does it use - newer boards have PCIe slots and PCI slots - I'm assuming your DVR card is PCI, there should be no problem - What brand / model # is your DVR card, go on the website of the DVR card manufacturer and look at the system requirements - it will give you exactly w hat you need (minimum OS needed, RAM, configuration, etc.) if a particular product is incompatible with certain chipset it will tell you on their webpage. Otherwise, if there are no known limitation it is a regular PCI card like any and should work fine - If you are running WIndows XP or higher there should be no problem at all as long as your DVR card supports your operating system. For XP, use XP drivers, for VISTA' use VISTA drivers and so forth.

After ive installed assassin creed it comes up u need bla bla bla so then it says renewing up dates and is now 100% fixed its in folder and on icon yet when i try to plsy it comes on in about 2 flashes and...

2GB RAM should be about $100, the same for installation. Your current graphics card meets the specs you provided. An upgraded video card will be about $200 for one that will work, $300 for one that will work well.
