Check this link to download the user manual to your remote control. If there is a code you want, it will be there. Code list are included with this manual. If you don't have a code there, check these links, and try to find out the codes and matched remote control to your set. The sites have details about many remote controls and its codes.
I recommend using the code-search function of the Innovage Jumbo Remote for both CABLE and SAT to try and find the one that works with your Time-Warner cable box.
To have the remote try each CABLE or SAT code it knows one at a time, follow these steps:
Turn on your cable box.
Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
Press the CABLE or SAT button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
Press the ON/OFF button slowly and repeatedly until
the cable box turns off. The LED will blink once each time you press the
ON/OFF button.
Once the cable box turns off, press the ENTER button to store the code and the LED will turn off.
I happen to be a Jumbo Universal remote Expert here at Fixya, so I hope I can help. It is possible that this remote just won't run your Motorola cable box, but I wouldn't give up until I had tried the codes from the list in the manual, as well as run through the auto-setup feature of the remote for CBL and for SAT, where it just tries all the cable box codes one at a time.
I was able to find a working motorola codes for an Innovage Jumbo Remote, a three digit code remote you might as well try: 051.
You have probably tried the codes for Motorola (031) and GI (000, 032) from the manual using these steps:
1. Turn on the device with which you want to use the remote control. 2. Locate a 3-digit code for your device. (000, 031 & 032 for example) 3. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control (CBL) for approximately three seconds. The POWER INDICATOR illuminates. 4. Enter the 3-digit code for your device within 30 seconds. The POWER INDICATOR shuts off. 5. Press the ON /OFF button to verify correct code entry. If the device shuts off, the code was entered correctly. If the device does not shut off, repeat steps 3-4, using a different code located on the Code List.
If those are still a bust, try the GI SAT codes 018 & 019.
Have you tried the following steps with both CBL and then SAT to search it's database?
1. Turn on the device with which you want to use the remote control. 2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control (SAT or CBL) until the POWER INDICATOR on the remote control illuminates. The remote control is in programming mode. 3. Press and release ON /OFF. The POWER INDICATOR on the remote control flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode. 4. Press CHANNEL UP or CHANNEL DOWN repeatedly until the device turns off. 5. When the device turns off, press any key to store the code. 6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.
The codes for a GE TV are: 000, 021, 053, 063, 115, 117, 120 & 134.
To program your remote by entering a code, follow these steps:
Turn on your TV.
Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
Press the TV button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
Enter the first set of 3-digit codes from the list. The LED will
blink once every keypress. After the 3rd digit, the red LED will turn
off indicating that the code was recognized for the device. If the code
was not compatible, the LED will flash several times and you need to
return to step 2 to try that code again or to try the next code in the
list.
After the LED has turned off, aim the remote at the TV and press
ON/OFF. If the device turns off, you have used the correct code and the
remote was successfully programed. If the device does not power off,
return to step 2 and try again with the next code in the list.
To find the right code for the Motorola box, I recommend auto-searching through the CABLE and SAT code lists.
I found this on another site: It works BUT you don't have all the functionality you would have with the cable remote (of course). If you want power on/off, vol up/down and channel change.. this is your fix.

Motorolla Comcast code
Posted by whowlett5on Dec 26th, 2008 at 12:40pm
I got mine to work using the Code search method. The manual is incorrect though about using the code search: Instead of pressing Power repeatedly, you just press it once. It sequences through the codes. You then need to press Enter immediately when the comcast unit turns off.
I have a Motorola cable box and used code # 051. Works great. Can't find a code for DIGISTAR tv though. If anyone has one, shoot it to me at [email protected].
Had the same problem with my Jumbo Remote - found the code under the "General Instruments" list (051 for me). Also noticed that my cable box has a sticker on the front with a serial number starting with "GI," most likely more evidence of the General Instruments conection. Able to get all the functions to work: guide, menu, etc. Good luck!! - JQ
