Hi Sharon Knight - Does any part of the range work? I would recommend verifying that a fuse is not blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Test the power outlet with a lamp, hair dryer, etc. Another questions, does "Loc" appear in the display if any button is pushed? The Oven Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door, prevents the warmer drawer and most oven controls from being turned ON. If so, press and hold CLEAR/OFF for 3 seconds. A beep will sound. LOC will clear. The "DOOR LOCKED" will continue to flash until the oven door has completely unlocked. Does the clock display "Sd" or "dddd"? If so, the clock is in sales demo mode. Press and hold the "BAKE TIME" button for 6 seconds to exit sales demo mode. If this does not prove to be successful, contact a professional to have EOC diagnosed and/or to confirm that there isn't a wiring failure.

Takes a long time to get to temperature

If it's a gas oven and has an electric element starter (glows orange to ignite the gas), the element can be taking a long time to heat up, which means the oven doesn't light for a while and so seems to lake a long time warming up. If you turn it on and then look at the area where the flame should be (broiler) and the flame takes a long time this could be the problem. This happened to me and replacing the element fixed it. Now the flames light within 30 second or so.

I removed all the racks from my upper oven (including the side racks) to self-clean and am getting the "remove racks" light. I've cleaned the oven before and never had this happen. The...

There is a button on the top receiver bracket on the left side... when you take the rack support bracket out you will see it. Take a damp sponge and go over that area, pressing the plunger/button in several times. That should do it. Sometimes grease build up can prevent the button from popping out all the way, so the oven thinks that the racks are still in there.

When i set my oven to turn on, it doesn't heat up. Sometimes I get an oder of gas.

Good evening
First ,a couple of questions. Is this an electronic ignition? Most likely yes,as this problem seems to happen with E ignitions. Open broiler door, turn on oven and look inside .You should observe an orange glow appear .(Small blue flame indicates standing pilot) If yes then wait for ignition. No or partial ignition or some gas release means you need a new igniter.Very common. They do get weak. Inexpensive fix.Couple of bolts and plug.
PLEASE TURN OFF POWER TO MACHINE BEFORE SERVICE 120 volts down there.

good luck

Hi there Have recently moved into a house with a Belling 626 white, electric cooker and the grill doesn't seem to be working. It has a mian oven, top ovem and "dual grill". The main oven...

ISOLATE THE MAINS POWER BEFORE CHECKING THE APPLIANCE
Run your fingers along the grill element, in this model it is accessible, check for raised areas or small hole or roughness not food burnt, if visible, it should be Black Grey colour at the blemish, you can obtain parts from www.whitegoods.co.uk you will need the model and serial numbers.
The grill elements come out but when unsrewed sometimes the ceramic holders crack, remove element before ordering as you may have to replace the element holders.
Hope this has been helpful

Our 17year old GE gas oven/broiler stopped lighting today. What might be the problem? Stove burners work.

Most likely culprit is the igniter.
When you turn the oven on it opens a gas valve allowing a small amount of gas to flow thru the pilot light. The igniter then lights the pilot and when the sensor determines the pilot is lit it opens th emain gas valve and the oven lights. If the igniter fails and doesn't light the pilot the sensor doesn't heat up and it shuts down the pilot and nothing works.
The igniter is usually accessable under the oven by removing the drawer. It has a single wire attached and looks like a short cigarette made of ceramic witha metal tip.
You didn't provide model number so I can't give you part number but if you look it up here you may be able to get one from Sears

I have a Thermodor SCD302ZP Double Convention Oven. Does the lower heating element come out from the front of oven or do you need to gain access to rear in order to test/replace it? I removed the...

that model number doesn't come up.first make sure the power is off to the machine, you have 240 volts going to that element, all the thermodor ovens i worked on come out from the front, there should be two phillips screws holding it in place, remove the screws and pull the element forwards, some of them you have to lift the element up the end that goes through the wall is bent up so the wires don't hit the metal wall behind it.on some the wires are very short so don't be surprised if they pop into the hole on you,try to hold it with a needle nose, have the other element in there and stick the wire right on the new element so you don't loose the wire into the hole,if that happens you might have to pull the oven and remove the back panel.good luck and i hope this helps you
