Ok so I only have 50 songs but my ipod can hold 500. I tried downloadinf pictures onto the ipod but they were all to big and wont show up, but yet they still take up more than 3/4s of the capacity. If someone could help me thata would be great. Thanks...
Your songs are at or near CD quality. The estimate of 500 songs assumes the songs are encoded in ACC format. Songs encoded in ACC are MUCH smaller than ones at or near CD quality. for example, a CD at CD quality is 750 MB, but at ACC quality, its only 60MB or less.
What you want to do is start up iTunes, click the "Edit" button at the top, then hit "preferences". A window will come up, and at the top of that, click the "advanced" tab.
then, in the advanced window that comes up, click the "importing" tab. in that window, on the "Import using:" button, select the MP3 encoder.
1. close out the options menu.
2. go to your library, and click on any song.
3. Push "Ctrl A" on your keyboard
4. All the songs should now be selected.
5. right click on any of the blue songs, and push "Uncheck selection"
6. all the songs should still be selected, and unckecked
7. with all the songs still blue, right click again, and puch "Convert to MP3"
after it converts, delete all the songs that are unchecked leaving the MP3 songs.
Plug in your ipod, and enjoy your music!!

Bearshare is a program that can be used to download and listen to audio files on your computer. You can also use Bearshare to put music directly onto your iPod or portable music player. Using Bearshare to add songs to your iPod will save you the time of having to search for your downloaded files using iTunes. By using Bearshare, you can download a new song and place that song directly onto your iPod without having to open another software program.
Download the latest version of Bearshare (see Below). http://www.bearshare.com/ Install Bearshare onto your computer. When you do, Bearshare will search for audio files that are already on your computer. The program will then add those files to the "My Library" portion of Bearshare. Open Bearshare. Click the "iPod/Mp3 Player" option on the left side of Bearshare. Plug your iPod into your computer. A dialog box will open on your screen. Click "OK." The "iPod/Mp3 Player" option will be replaced with the name of your iPod. Click the "My Library" option in the top left corner of Bearshare. Any songs that you added when installing Bearshare or that you have downloaded with Bearshare will appear on the screen. Click on the song and then drag the file over to the name of your iPod found on the left side of the screen. Doing so will add that song to your iPod. Continue doing this until you are finished adding songs to your iPod. Disconnect the iPod and close Bearshare.
Step 1: an itunes account ? b> An iPod is a portable media player that lets users listen to music wherever they are. Before you can listen to songs on the iPod, you must first put music onto the device. If you have been using different MP3 players in the past, adding music to an iPod can be slightly confusing. The reason for this is that iPods are not compatible with Windows Media Player, Real Player or Winamp. By using iTunes, however, you can add music to any iPod.
• Open iTunes. • 2 Add music to iTunes. To do this, click "File." Choose "Add Folder to Library." Then, find the folder on your computer that holds the music you wish to put onto the iPod. Highlight that folder and click "OK." The music will be put into the iTunes Library. • • 3 Plug the iPod into the computer. After a few seconds, you will see the iPod listed under "Devices" on the left-hand side of iTunes. • 4 Click "Music" under the "Library" option on the left-hand side of iTunes. All of the music files in the iTunes Library will then be shown in the middle of iTunes. • 5 Double-click the album that contains the music you want to put onto the iPod. The songs on that album will then be listed. • 6 Highlight the song you want to add to the iPod. • 7 Drag that file over to the name of your iPod located under "Devices" (as mentioned in Step 3). The song will then be placed onto the iPod. Do this for all of the music you want to put onto the iPod. • 8 Click the "All Albums" button at the top of iTunes to get back to the list of albums on the iTunes Library. • 9 Repeat Steps 5-7 until you are done putting music on the iPod. • 10 Disconnect the player when you are done.

continue downloading your mp3 / mp4 files with limewire (frostwire)..its okay...but limewire will never (and neither will any other non apple software) comply with itunes....so lets import the files (top left hand corner) using itunes (import from the folder you have download to) if its in xyz music that is where we will import from...once you have all the music onto itunes click & hold music library of itunes...(top left is itunes /bottom is your ipod if connected)...drag down to music of ipod let it go...once you do this the conversion takes place depending on how many songs u put in 1 - 3mins tops.............have fun dont forget to share mp3 files on limewire/frostwire
First, and most obviuos, plug in your iPod. iTunes should automatically pop up and recognize your iPod shuffle. How many gigs can it hold? When you plug in your iPod to your authorized account, you shuold automatically see iTunes transferring songs into your iPod.
If not, manually transfer songs into your iPod. Select your iPod on the left hand panel of iTunes, where you can look into your iPod. Next, look at the menu that pops up when you click your iPod (it shold show you your iPod, how mny gigs it can hold, etc.). Click 'Manually transfer songs'. From there, you can choose which songs to download into your iPod from iTunes (whichever songs are checked in the little boxes on the left of your songs in your iTunes).

If they are there, then plug in your ipod, click on the name of your ipod (left hand ide of the screen) and check the box on the main screen that says (manually manage music). Then go back to the main music folder again, and select all of the songs, (you can do this by clicking on the first ong in the list, hold down the shift key and then click on the last song in the list), then drag and drop all of the songs onto your ipod in the list at the left.
