Tower wont turn on

My tower for my pavilion a330n wont turn on when i press the power button on the front. Now it has done this to me before. When it does this the light on the back will blink but when it is solid green then i can turn on the power and it works fine. It usually starts working fine in a week or so. But now it has been over a month! Every thing else works fine( moniter, ect) Any help?

This makes sense to me. I happen to have a older pavilion sitting around so i'll see if that PSU will fit and work.

Your power supply inside the CPU has finally failed. I agree with Smooth_Gecko, to be on the safe side, borrow one and test it first.

Same thing happened to my Pavilion t461 which eventually failed altogether. Recommend the Coolermaster IGreen PSU from eBuyer which fitted perfectly with a bit of persuation. Very quiet and comes in varies power outputs. Good review at http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews.php?type=3&id=81&page=1&desc=coolermaster_igreen_power_430w

Sounds typical of a failing PSU. Try and borrow one to test it? Check all connections first. Buy a bit big in the watts next time, it will use LESS power and be reliable. 500 or 600W
