Tower wont turn on

My tower for my pavilion a330n wont turn on when i press the power button on the front. Now it has done this to me before. When it does this the light on the back will blink but when it is solid green then i can turn on the power and it works fine. It usually starts working fine in a week or so. But now it has been over a month! Every thing else works fine( moniter, ect) Any help?

This makes sense to me. I happen to have a older pavilion sitting around so i'll see if that PSU will fit and work.

Your power supply inside the CPU has finally failed. I agree with Smooth_Gecko, to be on the safe side, borrow one and test it first.

Same thing happened to my Pavilion t461 which eventually failed altogether. Recommend the Coolermaster IGreen PSU from eBuyer which fitted perfectly with a bit of persuation. Very quiet and comes in varies power outputs. Good review at http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews.php?type=3&id=81&page=1&desc=coolermaster_igreen_power_430w

Sounds typical of a failing PSU. Try and borrow one to test it? Check all connections first. Buy a bit big in the watts next time, it will use LESS power and be reliable. 500 or 600W

I'd check for pics on Google images on the model of your tower. Generally, the connectors in PC wiring are only meant to fit their proper connector (you don't have to worry about plugging into the wrong female connector, because it just won't fit if it's the wrong connector)

try removing the front panel make sure the button isnt clogged with dust or disconected failing that it may well be your power supply internal fuse which can be repaird but a trick job if youare not very good with a soldering iron you may get a replacement one on ebay.

Wont post , no video what cld be wrong

It might be an issue with the motherboard or Memory but still you can try for a power drain

Unplug all the cables from the tower,
then press and hold the power button for 30 sec

then connect the cable back to tower then try to turn on your computer

Hp pavilion a305w isnt working

sounds like it is in standby mode..........try pressing and holding the power button until it turns off fully. then remove the power cable to reset the power supply, wait for 5 mins then plug in and try again,

it is also possible that you have a fault , possibly a failed power supply, it might be best to investigate that if the power reset doesn't work

Hp pavilion a330

the simplest solution maybe just so simple... just a suggestion try unpluging the power connector to the motherboard then just press the power button to clear and shorted circuit and grounds then replug the motherboard power... if still no power try a new power supply.... better buy a new one than more parts will be damaged if you got a broken power supply.... how to check your power supply??? plug the power cord then use a hair pin to plug the red wire (wire in the middle) the just plug the other end to any black wire... if the fan of you power supply works your power supply still good to go... use some tester for the voltage values of wires...
